31,000 square metres laid out like a park: 100 long-stay pitches and 35 pitches for tourists, with mature trees, hedges and well-kept paths in between.
Quiet, and right in the middle of hiking country
Camping Park Hammelbach sits in a very quiet spot on the edge of Hammelbach, a village belonging to Grasellenbach. All around: forests, meadows and valleys with wide views across the Odenwald. The site itself is laid out like a park, with mature trees and hedges between the pitches.
Well-marked footpaths lead straight from the site through a hiking paradise where new views keep opening up. If you prefer two wheels, you can explore the area on varied routes, and mountain bikers will find stretches at every level of difficulty.

The tourist pitches are generously sized at around 120 square metres. Each one has its own electricity connection with 230 V and 16 A as well as water and waste water drainage. Caravan, motorhome or tent: the pitch price is the same.

Some of the pitches sit on the slope towards the valley. From there the view runs across meadows and forests to the ridges of the Odenwald. If you would like one of them, mention it when you enquire.
Children are taken care of
There is a playground on site, table football and plenty of lawn. The outdoor pool with a paddling pool is about 300 metres away, roughly a five-minute walk. The midday rest applies from 1 pm to 3 pm and the night rest from 10 pm to 7 am.
Long-stay pitches: all year, on request
100 of the pitches are long-stay pitches, usable throughout the year and outside the tourist season. We allocate available long-stay pitches on request, so do get in touch if you are planning for the longer term.

Hammelbach belongs to the municipality of Grasellenbach, an officially recognised climatic health resort. In and around the village you will find:

Questions about the pitches
How large are the pitches?
Tourist pitches measure around 120 square metres, which comfortably fits a caravan with an awning plus the car.
Does every pitch have electricity?
Yes, each one has its own connection with 230 V and 16 A. Electricity is billed by consumption at 0.80 EUR per kilowatt hour. Water and drainage connections are available at every pitch too.
Can I come with a tent?
Yes. Tents are welcome and the pitch price is the same as for caravans and motorhomes.
When is the gate closed?
During the midday rest from 1 pm to 3 pm and overnight from 10 pm to 7 am. Plan your arrival accordingly so you do not end up waiting at a closed barrier.
